The Seinfeld episode tonight was about when Jerry is asked to present his idea to NBC executives about a new TV show. George goes with Jerry to the NBC meeting and repeatedly insists to the executives that the show is about nothing. After the executives are puzzled by this lack of a story line and continue to question George about it, he feels mounting pressure to change his position and screams that he will not compromise his artistic integrity and storms out of the meeting.
Funniest scene:
At the restaurant after the meeting, in utter disbelief, Jerry asks George what possessed him to ruin this opportunity with NBC by his antics at the meeting. Jerry asks George where he came up with this “artistic integrity”. He said George was definitely not an artist and he certainly didn’t have any integrity. Jerry said that George should see a shrink. Then he revised his suggestion and said that George should go to some university and see a whole team of psychiatrists. Then he revised further and said that George actually should go to Vienna. George’s response to all this was that he was kind of attracted to the one female NBC executive and was thinking about giving her a call and asking her out.
