In one scene from the Seinfeld episode tonight, Susan gives a gift of Cuban cigars from her father to George. In a following scene, George states that he tried smoking one of the cigars and it made him sick. He wants to know if Jerry would like to have them. Kramer hears this from out in the hall, swings open the door to Jerry’s apartment, bolts into the room and yells that he will take them.
Funniest scene:
Kramer fails to find a match anywhere in order to light his first cigar, so he uses the front burner on Jerry’s gas stove. He successfully lights the cigar and as he is marveling at its great taste, he realizes that his hair is on fire. As a small cloud of smoke hovers directly above him, he spasmodically begins to beat the back of his head to try to put out the flames. He continues to convulse as he falls out of the room.
This was purely a site gag, but Kramer is a master at this type of physical comedy.
